jamani is excited to be performing for the Centric Festival, an organization that is committed to bringing top-level, unique, and often brand-new (mostly) classical music to Lethbridge. Find out more about the Centric Festival here.

jamani will be performing twice this weekend:

Saturday, July 16 @ 12:00 p.m. (Plum – 330 6th Street South)

Enjoy music from pianist, Luis Ramirez and the jamani duo alongside fine cuisine and friendly ambience at Plum Restaurant. The jamani duo will be playing a fun and energetic mix of world, classical, and popular music on Caribbean steel pan, African kalimba, various hand drums, and more.

Sunday, July 17 @ 8:00 p.m. (Casa, ATB Community Room – 230 8th Street South)

Concert III: Music for a Summer Evening

The jamani duo joins pianists Luis Ramirez, Catherine Seeley, Theresa Thordarson, and Jesse Plessis in a concert pairing the music of Ravel with two American greats: the tender "Valses Nobles et Sentimentales," George Crumb's evocative "Music for a Summer Evening," John Adams gospel and blues-inspired "Hallelujah Junction," and the festival will come to a crashing close with Ravel's magnum opus, the "Bolero"!
